Hall History and Culture

Hall culture holds an important place in IIT Kharagpur. It is your hall which helps you to grow and transforms you from a kid to a gentleman.

It was assumed that the older the hall, the stronger the hall culture. But when the first batch of UG students arrived in MMM they broke all the notions to rewrite KGP history.

Just in their first attempt, they secured the 4th position in Illumination.

They did not have any seniors to guide them, but due to their sheer determination and tempo, 2 general secretaries in Technology Students Gymkhana were elected. Mr. Devang Upadhya:- General secretary Students Welfare and Mr. Soumya Patel:- General Secretary, Social and Cultural.

Mr. Abhishek Sarda of the same batch co-founded the Institute Wellness Group (IWG).

Big achievements from the 2017 batch laid the foundation of a very strong hall culture here.

Seniors - Junior Culture is the most beautiful part of KGP culture. Senior-Junior culture of KGP is the best among all IITs. Seniors of MMM hall are very much supporting and helping. They will help you at any point of time when you will need them. You can freely approach any seniors for guidance.
